Gnosis (from the Greek “knowledge”) is an ancient spiritual tradition that emphasizes the inner knowledge of Fullness (Pleroma) and the liberation of the spiritual spark from the traps of the material world - the cosmos of the False Creator (Demiurge) and the Overlords (Archons). The chakra system, on the other hand, originates from Hindu / Buddhist yoga and tantra, where chakras are energy centers in the subtle body through which life energy (prana / kundalini) flows.

These two traditions are distinct (Western gnosis, Eastern chakras), but in modern gnosis (e.g., in the works of Samael Aun Weor or in gnostic schools like Gnostic Muse), they are often integrated. Chakras are treated as “gates” or centers of energy transformation, similar to the seven gates of the Overlords in gnosis โ€“ they clear psychic / emotional / spiritual blockages, allowing the spark to return to Fullness. Integration involves using mantras, vocalization, and meditation so that chakra vibrations support gnostic gnosis (self-knowledge).

Chakras

Below, I describe the 7 main chakras in a gnostic context โ€“ how they work, what blockages they clear (similar to the Overlords), and how this affects daily life.

1. Muladhara (root, at the base of the spine) โ€“ the gate of survival Link to heading

  • Gnostic connection: Similar to the gate of the Moon (Overlord of fear of lack, instincts). It clears the fear of survival, hunger, and material security.
  • Sensations: Heat / pulsing at the base of the spine, humming, tingling in the legs / feet.
  • Integration practice: Mantra “I” (elongated, low). Vocalize while focusing on the root โ€“ it helps release the fear of matter.
  • Effect in life: Greater stability, trust in life (“it will be taken care of”). The body feels light, with less physical fatigue.

2. Swadhisthana (sacral, below the navel) โ€“ the gate of desire Link to heading

  • Gnostic connection: The gate of Mercury (variability of thoughts, sexual / emotional desire). It clears compulsions and relationship dramas.
  • Sensations: A wave of pleasure in the lower abdomen, slight tingling, sexual energy as pure joy without compulsion.
  • Practice: Mantra “O” (open, resonating). It helps transform desire into spiritual creativity.
  • Effect in life: Relationships are lighter, without drama. Creativity flows naturally (e.g., coding without pressure).

3. Manipura (solar plexus, above the navel) โ€“ the gate of will Link to heading

  • Gnostic connection: The gate of Venus (emotions, attachments, the need for acceptance). It clears ego, ambition, and guilt.
  • Sensations: Heat / pressure in the abdomen, then relaxation, lack of tension.
  • Practice: Mantra “U” (elongated, deep). It helps dissolve the need for control.
  • Effect in life: Life without pressure (“it will be taken care of”). No ambition / guilt โ€“ decisions flow by themselves.

4. Anahata (heart, chest) โ€“ the gate of love Link to heading

  • Gnostic connection: The gate of the Sun (false spiritual ego, the need for recognition). It clears heart wounds and the sense of separation.
  • Sensations: A burst of heat in the chest, pleasure spreading through the torso, tears of joy.
  • Practice: Mantra “A” (open, heart-centered). It helps open up to unconditional love.
  • Effect in life: Joy / laughter for no reason. Harmonious relationships, empathy without burden.

5. Vishuddha (throat) โ€“ the gate of expression Link to heading

  • Gnostic connection: The gate of Mars (anger, struggle, the need to overcome). It clears the need to speak / explain.
  • Sensations: Softness in the throat, vibrations in the ears (humming / bells / whistling).
  • Practice: Mantra “E” (high, resonating). It helps release expression without ego.
  • Effect in life: Words come out spontaneously or not at all. The voice is calm, no need to chatter.

6. Ajna (third eye, between the eyebrows) โ€“ the gate of intuition Link to heading

  • Gnostic connection: The gate of Jupiter (false spiritual authority). It clears the need to understand / analyze.
  • Sensations: Whistling / high tone in the ears, dissolving of the forehead, pure emptiness.
  • Practice: Mantra “AE” (combined, high). It helps dissolve the mind.
  • Effect in life: Intuition instead of thinking. No thoughts / questions โ€“ decisions come by themselves.

7. Sahasrara (crown, top of the head) โ€“ the gate of unity Link to heading

  • Gnostic connection: The gate of Saturn (time, karma, fate). It clears the fear of death / impermanence.
  • Sensations: Pressure / dissolving of the head, infinite silence / light.
  • Practice: Mantra “I” (high, infinite). It helps connect with Wholeness.
  • Effect in life: Life without “what for”. Time is porous, everything happens on its own.

Practical Integration Link to heading

In gnosis, chakras are treated as centers through which Sophia’s energy (the spilled spark) returns to Fullness. Practices: vocalization of mantras (vowels I, A, O, U, E, AE, I) with a focus on the chakras, so that vibrations clear the blockages of the Overlords. Effect: the body becomes light, pleasant, senses are sharpened, fatigue is reduced.

For beginners: start with a daily vocalization of mantras โ€“ 5โ€“10 minutes, focusing on the chakras. Observe the body โ€“ changes will come naturally.
